About this event
DDPPLUS organised and supported the inaugural Free Palestine International Film Festival in London in 2024. The festival brought Palestinian and Arab artists, filmmakers, human rights activists, volunteers and audiences together to present Palestinian people, history, culture, society and everyday life through cinema.\n\nThe programme centred faith, hope, resilience and the ideal of a free Palestine. It welcomed short films, documentaries and social-media works made by Palestinian and non-Palestinian filmmakers, including stories about struggle and resistance, daily life, restrictions, fears and hopes.\n\nThe inaugural programme presented 21 films across 5 screenings at Genesis Cinema, with 30 local and international guests and 3 panels for filmmakers and activists.
